Justin O. Cooper is the founder and creative director of Atlanta based, JOC Media | Marketing | Entertainment. JOC creates, directs, coordinates and provides project management in the areas of media, marketing and entertainment.
As a published journalist and book author, Cooper's byline can be read in the pages of Los Angeles based Amalgamation Magazine , he released his debut literary offering The Power of a Praying Woman in 2009 to regional acclaim in South Carolina and Georgia. His work as a journalist has allowed him to interview a range of music entertainment talent from KEM, AKON, Ruben Studdard, Jazmine Sullivan, Ciara, Chuck Harmony, Jim Jonsin, Sunshine to Tonex and many more over the past decade.
As a 2004 ASCAPlus songwriter award recipient for his work with Grammy winning artist Tom Scotts 2003 single "You Are My Everything" from Scott's New Found Freedom project (charting at #24 on Billboards Top Contemporary Jazz Chart); Cooper is now a SESAC signed songwriter and music publisher (OShea80 Music Publishing). As an active member of the Atlanta entertainment scene, Cooper is a supporter and is affiliated with the GEA (Georgia Entertainment Association).
Capitalizing on every opportunity, Cooper serves as the marketing coordinator for Southern Regional Medical Center in suburban Atlanta, in his role with the organization he oversees the media/advertising branding for the organization on TV, radio, print and online. As marketing coordinator he has served as location liaison and an extra for motion picture and TV network productions ranging from What To Expect When You Are Expecting (Lionsgate), COMA (Sony Pictures/A&E Network TV) to On We Go! (NBC). He is also the assistant to editorial and high fashion photographer, JR West of JRWestVisual and Celebrity Publicist to two-time Grammy winning recording artist Ann Nesby . He is an honors graduate of Benedict College where he received his B.A. in mass communication and a native of Kingstree, SC
